Burngrave United qualifies for the Asian Football Club Mini-Finals

JAKARTA, 21st November, 2017 (WAM) – The Emirati team, Burngrave United, has qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Club Football Mini Championship, which is currently being held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, and will continue until the 23rd of this November, following its victory today over the Indonesian team, Jakarta Rangers, 4-1, in the knockout stage of the quarter-finals.

The Burngrave United team turned a goal deficit into a huge victory with four goals, after a strong confrontation through its players Ibrahim Adam, Mahdi Omri, Bassem Al-Najjar, and Muhammad Ismail.

Tomorrow, the Burngrave United team will meet its Iranian counterpart, Setarijan Simakan, in the semi-finals, which will also witness a confrontation between the Lebanese teams Al-Ataa and the Indonesian Barber United.

For its part, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority team seeks to achieve a positive result against the Japanese “IPG” team in the match for ninth and tenth places.

Sarmad Al Zadjali, Executive Director of the Mini Football Committee, confirmed that the players of the Burngriff United team showed a great desire to face all the challenges in the first participation in this competition, all the way to the semi-finals, which will have a positive impact on the development of the game in the Emirates during the coming period, especially after the country hosted the Arab Championship in its first edition in 2026.
