Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights: A calm beginning and complete stability in the parliamentary election committees

In the first hours of the second day of voting in the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development monitored a state of stability and organizational discipline within the subcommittees in the various governorates, amid tight security procedures and clear cooperation between voters and those in charge of the electoral process.

 

Field follow-ups by the coalition’s observers showed the regularity of the process of opening committees on their scheduled dates without significant obstacles, while some districts witnessed A gradual turnout began to increase by nine o’clock in the morning, especially in rural areas that are accustomed to early participation in electoral processes.

 

Coalition observers indicated that the queues inside most of the committees were characterized by smoothness and calm, with a noticeable presence of the elderly and women early in the day, while the urban committees awaited the main wave of voters after the end of the usual traffic rush hours at the beginning of the day. Today.

 

While Damietta Governorate witnessed remarkable activity during the election day, as these committees were distinguished by a clear turnout from the elderly who were keen to cast their votes since the early hours.

The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development confirms that the first hours of the second day reflect a stable electoral environment that is expected to witness a greater increase in turnout rates during the period extending from noon until before the polls close, especially with the entry of categories of employees and workers after the end of their work periods.
