The Mufti of the Republic meets with members of the Executive Committee to follow up on the work of the second international symposium
His Eminence Prof. Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, the Mufti of the Republic, met today, Tuesday, with members of the Executive Committee charged with following up on the work of the Second International Symposium “Fatwa and Issues of Human Reality…Towards Rational Ijtihad that Keeps pace with Contemporary Challenges.” Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, which is scheduled to be held from December 15 to 16 of this year, which coincides with the International Fatwa Day, with the participation of scholars and muftis from inside and outside Egypt.
During the meeting, His Eminence the Mufti reviewed with the members of the committee the necessary scientific, media and organizational arrangements and the stages of preparation for the topics of the research sessions and workshops, ensuring that the symposium emerges in an honorable manner that reflects the status of Dar The Egyptian Fatwa and the General Secretariat of the role and fatwa bodies in the world, in international forums. The meeting also discussed the work plan during the coming period, and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination with the subcommittees. To ensure full readiness before the start of the symposium activities.
His Eminence the Mufti stressed that holding this symposium comes within the framework of the vision of Dar Al-Iftaa and the General Secretariat for the role and bodies of fatwa in the world, which aims to keep pace with the changing human reality through disciplined legal jurisprudence that interacts with contemporary challenges and provides practical and rational solutions, stressing the importance of continuous coordination between the technical and scientific committees to ensure the integration of efforts and outcomes. With effective recommendations that contribute to developing the fatwa discourse and establishing a solid scientific methodology in addressing human and societal issues, reflecting the pioneering role of the Egyptian Fatwa House regionally and internationally.
