The President orders the release of 2,937 inmates from penal and correctional institutions

Today, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, ordered the release of 2,937 inmates in penal and correctional institutions against whom sentences were issued in various cases, and His Highness ensured the payment of the financial fines imposed on them in implementation of those sentences, on the occasion of the 54th Federation Day of the United Arab Emirates.

This initiative comes within the framework of His Highness the President of the State’s keenness to give those released an opportunity to start a new life, achieve stability for their families, alleviate their suffering, and bring joy to their families.
