The Minister of Sports witnesses the opening of the World Karate Championship for adults and people of determination

This evening, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed, in the presence of the President of the International Federation Antonio Espinos, Nasser Al-Zarouki, President of the UAE Federation and the Asian Federation and Vice-President of the International Federation, President of the Egyptian Karate Federation, Mohamed Al-Dahrawy, Governor of Cairo, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, and Major General Ahmed Nasser, President of the Federation of African Sports Federations (AUCSA). Sayed Nasr, Vice President of the Egyptian Federation and Tournament Director, inaugurated the 2025 World Championship for adults and people with disabilities, in the main hall of the indoor hall complex at Cairo International Stadium.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, expressed his happiness at Egypt hosting this world championship, noting that organizing the 2025 World Championship for adults and people with disabilities on Egyptian soil represents a historic event, and the tournament returns. To the African continent after an absence of 37 years since Egypt last hosted the championship in 1988.
The Minister of Sports attributed the great credit for hosting this huge event to the great support from the political leadership for organizing major international and continental events in Egypt, praising the distinguished efforts made by the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Karate Federation, headed by Mohamed El-Dahrawi, who succeeded in resolving the international file in favor of Egypt after strong competition with several major countries in the game. Globally.
Mohamed El-Dahrawy, President of the Egyptian Karate Federation, confirmed that Egypt’s hosting of the 2025 World Championship for Adults and People of Determination represents the culmination of years of hard work within the federation, indicating that organizing the tournament in this impressive manner reflects Egypt’s ability to host the largest international sporting events.
