Egypt’s national fencing team wins gold in the U-20 World Cup

The Egyptian fencing team was able to win the gold medal in the U-20 World Cup held in Hong Kong, after its exciting victory over the Chinese team with a score of 45-39.
The national team was represented by Youssef Shamil, Fouad Gharib, Islam Osama, and Yassin Haggag, and the tournament witnessed the participation of 20 teams in competitions. The teams.
The team’s journey in the tournament witnessed great brilliance, as the team qualified directly to the round of 16, then beat the Indian team with a score of 45-35, qualifying for the quarter-finals in which it defeated the Saudi team with a score of 45-36, then in the semi-final it surpassed the Hungary team with a score of 45-43, to reach the final and achieve victory over the China team with a score. 45-39.
