The draw for the President’s Cup for Arabian horses results in equal confrontations

Abu Dhabi, December 4 / WAM / The draw for the His Highness the President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses for the first category resulted in equal confrontations in the starting gates.
The 2,200-meter race will be held the day after tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi Racing Club track, with the participation of 15 horses, and its prizes are 8 million dirhams.
The event attracts an elite group of riders, trainers and purebred Arabian horses, in an evening that witnesses 7 races for a group of major titles, with prizes of 10.8 million dirhams.
These details were announced during a press conference held today in the Equestrian Hall of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, in the presence of His Excellency Faisal Al Rahmani, President of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFHAR), and Engineer Ali Al Shaiba, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club and Abu Dhabi Race Track.
The first candidate, HM Al Shaheen, starts from Gate 6, RB King Maker from Gate 5, and competes with the local Emirates horses, Ajrad Athba, through Gate 12, F Maqam, from Gate 2, Saud, from Gate 15, Joe Star, from Gate 10, Hameem, from Gate 1, and Mounir Du Soleil, from Gate 4.
The ceremony includes 7 races, including the President’s Cup race for purebred hybrid horses over a distance of 1,400 metres, with prizes of one million dirhams, in addition to the Yas Speed Cup, the Al Wathba Mile, the Emirates Breeders’ Cup for purebred Arabian horses “Emirates Breeding,” and the Abu Dhabi Derby “Qawaem.”
Al-Rahmani stressed that Abu Dhabi is the capital of Arabian horses in the world, and this season the President’s Cup series witnessed the holding of 17 races, with the participation of elite horses, and had a great influence in introducing the world to the Arabian horse and its high status among the people of the Emirates.
Ali Al Shaibah said that the qualitative shift in the club through the development of facilities contributes to the development of purebred Arabian horse racing, with a future vision to provide more work to enhance its position globally, explaining that there are many accompanying activities, including a promotional initiative for Emirati heritage culture, and a competition for the most beautiful costume for children in the Emirates to motivate them.
