Algeria national team coach, Madjid Bougherra, stressed the difficulty of the confrontation that will bring his team together with the UAE national team tomorrow, Friday, in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup in Doha, describing the match as important for the two teams, and as an early final in the tournament. Bougherra stressed the need to prepare for the match in the best possible way, describing the UAE national team as a good team that develops from one match to another, in addition to having a distinguished coach, the Romanian Elario Cosmin, stressing that this prompts them to deal with great caution in facing it.

Bougherra said during the match’s introductory press conference: “The match will be very important for the two teams, and will carry a serious character as it is a knockout match, and we must focus on our work on the field.”

The Algeria coach added that the tournament carries a special and distinctive character for them, stressing his appreciation for the competitive atmosphere it provides.

Bougherra revealed that he got to know Cosmin when the latter was coaching in the UAE League, and that he met him on several occasions.

The Algeria coach pointed out that there are some absences among the national team, which will provide the opportunity for a number of players to participate and prove themselves in this decisive confrontation.
