Victory is the World X-Cat Powerboat Champion.

The Victory team was crowned champion of the World Championship for Powerboats in the X-Cat category, after winning the first main race of the Dubai Grand Prix today, led by the duo Salem Al-Adidi and Issa Al Ali on board the boat “Victory 7”. The team won the 2025 season title before competing in the second main race on Sunday.

The Victory team recorded a strong presence at Nisnas Beach in Jumeirah, where Al-Adidi and Al Ali advanced steadily and overtook the competitors to the finish line, achieving first place in the first main half, raising the team’s score to 165 points, 39 points behind the British team, its closest competitor, which fell to fifth place in the race with 126 points.

This is the team’s seventh world title in the “X-CAT” category since the start of the championship, after the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. It also represents the 27th world title in the team’s history across its various international participations.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation, crowned the winners, in the presence of Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Mohammed Hareb, Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, Khalid bin Dasmal, Member of the Club’s Board of Directors, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Marine Club, and Colonel Ahmed Al Adidi, Director of the Ports Police Station at Dubai Police.

Victory 7 finished the 16 laps in a time of 42:24 minutes, while the Fujairah 96 boat came in second, with a difference of 6:38 minutes, and the Sharjah 9 boat came in third, with a difference of 47.78 seconds.

The Victory team expressed its pride in the global achievement, as Ahmed Al Sumaiti, Director of Sports Teams at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, confirmed that regaining the title after an absence of seven years came thanks to teamwork and early preparation to resolve the competition in the first half.

Salem Al-Adidi explained that the good preparation and team plan contributed to choosing the ideal time to advance to the lead, while Issa Al Ali appreciated the support of all sides for the team throughout the season, stressing that the harmony between him and Al-Adidi contributed to achieving first place after they had previously finished in third place.
