The badminton team wins the World Cup bronze in Sharjah

The first national team for badminton, led by its technical director Mounir Fayez, won a bronze medal in the World Cup tournament held in the Emirate of Sharjah, during the period from 11 to 14 December.
Our men’s national team won despite losing to its Brazilian counterpart in the semi-finals.
Egypt’s players wrote their names in letters of light, especially since this is their first participation in the Badminton World Cup. The Pharaohs had begun their journey in the tournament by defeating the Azerbaijan team with a score of 3-1, then beating the Bulgaria team with a score of 3-0, before defeating the Nigeria team with the same score in the quarter-finals.
The national team’s roster in the World Cup tournament includes 8 players, namely: “Alia Amr Al-Ghandour – Fatima Mohamed Rabie – Loujain Ashraf – Nada Sharif Mohamed – Ahmed Ali Al-Bahnasawy – Mahmoud Montaser Mahmoud – Abdel Rahman Magdy Abdel Sattar – Ali Ashraf Mahmoud.” The team is technically supervised by Mounir Fayez, while the delegation is headed by Menna Allah Tanani, a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Badminton Federation.
The national team had advanced to the World Championship finals after winning the African Championship title for the first time in its history, after defeating the Nigerian team in the final match of the continental championship, which was held in the Ghanaian capital (Accra). Last July.
