Endowments participates in the national conference to enhance the role of civil society in supporting regular blood donation

The Ministry of Endowments participated in the activities of the National Conference to Strengthen the Role of Civil Society in Supporting Regular Blood Donation, which was organized by the Misr Sharyan Al-Ataa Association, headed by Dr. Mohsen Al-Alfy – Professor of Hematology at Ain Shams University, on Sunday, December 14, in a Cairo hotel, under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Health and Population.
The conference witnessed a wide presence of representatives of official agencies and civil society, in the framework of support National efforts aimed at spreading the culture of regular blood donation, and promoting the values of solidarity and social responsibility.
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Murshedi – Director General of Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments, gave a speech at the opening of the conference entitled: “Blood donation and its religious and legal impact from the standpoint of saving lives and solidarity urged by our true religion.” In which he addressed the legal foundations on which blood donation is based, stressing that Islamic law came to preserve the five purposes: religion, self, And the mind, honor, and money, and that preserving oneself comes at the forefront of these goals.
He explained in his speech that what a person offers of goodness, help, and kindness, he offers it initially to God Almighty before it reaches the needy, citing the Almighty’s saying: “Who is the one who lends to God a good loan and He multiplies it?” “It is multiplied,” and in the Holy Hadith: “O son of Adam, I fell ill and you did not visit me…”, which reflects the great reward and rewards resulting from serving people and relieving them.
The conference witnessed the honoring of a number of honorable models in the field of regular blood donation, as the association honored two donors who exceeded The number of times they donated was 150 times, namely Counselor Sharif Al-Arabi and Major General Shaheen Khalifa. Three donors whose number of donations exceeded 100 times were also honored, namely Ahmed Sami Al-Husseini, Cyril Mahfouz, and Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Mahmoud.
The Ministry of Endowments extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to these honorees, and to everyone who contributed to supporting the blood donation system, stressing that these luminous examples embody the highest meanings of giving. And altruism, and reflects the spirit of human solidarity that the true religion calls for, and which the Egyptian state seeks to establish in society.
