Al-Nasr brakes Al-Ain’s start in the league and shuffles the lead cards

Al-Nasr team imposed a positive draw 2-2 on its guest Al-Ain, in the summit confrontation that brought the two teams together this evening at Al Maktoum Stadium, in the presence of about 2,000 fans, with both sides sharing the points, in a result whose repercussions extended to the race for the lead, after the competition cards were mixed and opened the door for those chasing “Al-Zaeem” to redraw the features of the summit.

Although Al Ain maintained the top spot in the standings after raising its score to 24 points, the difference was reduced to only three points over its rival Al Wahda, who is in second place with 21 points, with a postponed match. On the other hand, Al-Nasr raised its score to 15 points in sixth place.

The match was fast-paced from the start, as Al Ain scored early through Kodjo Lapa in the ninth minute, before Al Nassr quickly responded through Ramon Meres just five minutes later, specifically in the 14th minute. The “Purple” did not wait long to regain their lead, when Matias Palacios scored the second goal in the 20th minute, giving the visitors an early advantage, but Al Nassr succeeded in snatching an equalizer in the 70th minute through Glauber Lima.
