المملكة: 53 million passengers in a year… King Abdulaziz Airport achieves a historic achievement
This becomes the highest number recorded by a Saudi airport since the beginning of , and entering the list of mega airports that include in terms of the number of passengers.
Saudi Airports Achievements
The total number of flights reached (310) thousand flights, in addition to the handling of (60.4) million bags, achieving a growth of (12%) compared to 2024. The number of Zamzam packages that were handled during the year reached (9.57) million packages, and the number of air cargo flights (2968) flights.
This achievement reflects the qualitative transformation. The airport and its status as a regional hub and national gateway linking the Kingdom to the world, and its role in facilitating the movement of visitors and guests of God, and promoting tourism in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, diversifying the economy and providing a distinguished travel experience.
The CEO of Jeddah Airports Company, Engineer Mazen Jawhar, confirmed that reaching (53.4) million passengers confirms the airport’s high operational readiness, and also represents a turning point for moving to the next stage, in preparation for doubling This number will be achieved, God willing, in the coming years.

He pointed out that this national achievement would not have been achieved without the grace of God Almighty, then the directives of the wise leadership – may God protect it – and the continuous follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and the CEO of Airports Holding.
He explained that King Abdulaziz International Airport strengthens its position as a major hub. Aviation in the region through expansions, raising capacity and developing services, in a way that supports the objectives of the aviation program and is compatible with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
