Details of the arrest of Maduro and his wife.. They were injured during an attempt to arrest them

CNN revealed that the Venezuelan president and his wife, Celia Flores, were injured while trying to escape from US forces during their arrest in Caracas.

The network said that Trump administration officials informed lawmakers that Maduro and his wife were injured in the heads while trying to flee American forces.

According to sources familiar with the CNN briefing, Maduro and Celia Flores were injured after hitting their heads while fleeing US forces who were trying to arrest them.

Administration officials, briefing lawmakers on Monday, described Flores’ head injury as minor.

According to the sources, officials reported that the Venezuelan president and his wife ran and tried to hide behind a heavy steel door inside their residential complex, but the door frame was low, which led to their heads hitting each other as they tried to escape.

The sources added that members of the Delta Force forces arrested them and provided them with first aid after taking them out of the complex.

Maduro and his wife appeared in court on Monday with visible injuries, and Flores’ lawyer told the judge that she was “severely injured” during her kidnapping.

In addition, it is believed that Maduro’s wife may have a broken or severely bruised rib. Her lawyer requested an X-ray and a comprehensive medical examination to ensure her safety.

During the hearing, Flores swayed and tilted her head every now and then, while Maduro had difficulty sitting and standing at times, according to court reporters.

Sketches of Flores in the courtroom showed bandages on her head.
