Announced airport Amsterdam– Schiphol, one of the largest airports in Europe, canceled at least 700 flights on Wednesday due to snow and wind, following the cancellation of many flights in recent days.
More than a thousand people spent the night in Schiphol, according to what the airport said, which provided beds for passengers who had to sleep there.
Turbulent air traffic
The airport said in a statement "It’s still Air traffic is disturbed at the airport today (Wednesday)".He added "Our snow removal teams are working to ensure as many flights as possible are operated safely"
He continued "However, winter conditions persist and Strong winds restrict air traffic. So far, more than 700 flights have been cancelled, and we expect this number to rise"
Train traffic is experiencing severe disruption in the Netherlands. The Dutch National Railways advises people who do not have to travel to postpone their trips.
