Sharjah and Al Gharafa request the Emirati Super

Sharjah, at eight o’clock this evening, UAE time, will host the Qatari team Al Gharafa, at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium in Doha, in a heavy-caliber confrontation in the UAE-Qatari Super Cup, as this match represents a new challenge between the two major teams in search of supremacy and winning the title.
Despite the difficulty of confronting a strong team like Al-Gharafa, Al-Sharjah hopes to repeat the scenario of its recent victory over Al-Gharafa 4-3 during the confrontation that brought them together in the first round of the AFC Champions League for Elite Clubs, while Al-Gharafa will try to recover from this major loss.
Sharjah seeks to dedicate the Super Cup title to its fans, similar to the scenario of its recent victory in the UAE Super Cup, after its victory over Shabab Al-Ahly 3-2.
Sharjah goes into the match in good spirits following the valuable victory it recently achieved over Kalba 3-1 in the 13th round of the ADNOC Professional League, after a series of negative results.
Despite the circumstances and challenges that Sharjah is currently facing – due to its late ranking in the ADNOC Professional League, as it occupies 10th place with only 14 points, in addition to the presence of some absences in its ranks – the technical staff, led by Portuguese coach Jose Moraes, has worked to prepare the team well for this match, noting that the Sharjah delegation had left for Doha the day before yesterday.
The confrontation will also be a new test and challenge for Sharjah coach Moraes, who in turn seeks to put Sharjah in the right place as a great team with historical achievements.
It is the fourth match between Sharjah and Al-Gharafa in the recent period, as they met in a friendly match, last July, and ended with Al-Gharafa winning with a goal without a response, during Sharjah’s last camp in Austria in preparation for the new season, and before that they also met in a friendly way in July 2024, and the confrontation ended with a 3-2 victory for Sharjah, and finally they faced each other in the AFC Champions League and ended with a 4-3 victory for Sharjah.
On the other hand, Al-Gharafa, led by Portuguese coach Pedro Martinez, is currently leading the Qatari League until the 13th round with 31 points, and in turn prepared well for this match, and the team includes an elite group of the best football stars in Qatar, including Yacine Brahimi, Fabricio Diaz, Joselu, and Seydou Sano.
. “The King” wants a second coronation during the current season, after winning the UAE Super Cup over Shabab Al-Ahly.
