A Spanish court rejects Real Madrid’s request in the “Negrira case”

Spanish press reports said that the court rejected a request submitted by Real Madrid to obtain information about Barcelona’s financial records between 2003 and 2021, including audits and the criminal report related to the Negrera case.
The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” said that the court rejected Real Madrid’s request, which was submitted by its legal representative.
She added that the former president of FC Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, the defendant in the aforementioned case, had asked the Investigative Court No. 1 in Barcelona, which is investigating that case, two weeks ago, to prevent access to all audits and financial reports related to the club, based on Barcelona’s privacy.
She noted that Judge Alejandra Gil Lima issued a ruling in favor of Bartomeu and rejected the request to hand over this information to Real Madrid. The ruling stated: “The investigation procedures requested by the Real Madrid club representative in the documents dated December 22, 2025 and September 26, 2025, are unjustified.”
