المملكة: Navy forces conclude their participation in an exercise "Winds of peace" In the Sultanate of Oman

Concluded in the Sultanate of Oman, bilateral mixed naval exercise maneuvers «Winds of Peace 2026” between The Royal Saudi Naval Forces and the Royal Navy of Oman, in the presence of a number of military leaders from both sides.

The commander of the exercise, Commodore Mohammed bin Ayed Al Otaibi, confirmed that the exercise achieved its objectives of exchanging experiences in the fields of maritime operations and maritime security, rapid response to confront various threats, and unifying concepts in preparation, planning and implementation, in addition to cooperation and coordination between the two navies in monitoring and protecting maritime shipping lines.

Qualitative training

He explained that the exercise witnessed the implementation of a set of specific exercises that included naval positions and formations, naval aviation training, combating maritime terrorism, the right to visit and inspect, search and rescue, electronic warfare, confronting speedboat attacks, securing sea lanes and protecting commercial ships.

The commander of the exercise stated that the ship maneuvers included His Majesty the King’s ships firing missiles and live ammunition in the theater of operations, noting that the participants were from the two Saudi navies. The Omani soldiers demonstrated a high level of professionalism, combat readiness, and mastery in carrying out the various operations that took place during the exercise.
