The University of Sharjah launches a professional diploma to prepare executive leadership in cooperation with the Roads Authority

Sharjah, February 11 / WAM / The University of Sharjah, in cooperation with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, launched the Professional Diploma for Preparing Executive Leadership, through the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development, within the framework of a strategic partnership aimed at developing national competencies and enhancing the readiness of institutional leadership to keep pace with the requirements of transformation and development in the transportation sector in the emirate.

The launch took place during a ceremony held at the university headquarters in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Essam Al-Din Ajami, Director of the University of Sharjah, His Excellency Yousef Al-Othmani, Chairman of the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, His Excellency Abdulaziz Muhammad Al-Jarwan, Director of the Authority for Transportation Affairs, Dr. Asma Nasiri, Director of the Center for Continuing Education and Professional Development at the university, Sultan Obaid Al Zaabi, Director of the Human Resources Department at the Authority, and a number of officials and faculty members.

The diploma program aims to develop first- and second-grade leaders in the Authority, by empowering them with modern executive leadership skills and enhancing their abilities in strategic thinking, decision-making, change management, and keeping pace with technological transformations, in a way that supports raising the efficiency of institutional performance.

25 leaders from the Authority will benefit from the program, which continues until next June 4, with a total of 160 training and applied hours, including actual training days and supervisory hours to support final applied projects.

The diploma includes 12 training topics covering effective leadership, strategic planning, media communication, digital transformation, building and managing teams, crisis and risk management, human resources, negotiation, financial analysis, innovation management, transformational leadership, and comprehensive quality, through an integrated training methodology that combines lectures, workshops, case studies, interactive sessions, and the implementation of applied projects that address realistic challenges in work environments.
