المملكة: Deputy Minister of Environment inspects the operational work of the National Center of Meteorology in Jeddah

The Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Mansour Al-Mushaiti, conducted Rain seeding operations and their implementation mechanisms to increase rainfall.
He reviewed the operational capabilities of the “Saudi Meteorology” platform, stressing its pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of monitoring weather conditions and the speed of passing warning information to the beneficiaries and concerned parties.
Climate change and weather monitoring
The visit included an inspection of the regional center Climate Change, to learn about the work system and the digital climate archiving system, in addition to visiting the Regional Center for Dust and Sand Storms to learn about its role in monitoring and analysis at the region level.
He followed the progress of work in the Weather Monitoring and Weather Forecast Operations Center, reviewing the multiple modeling systems and probabilistic forecasts that contribute to raising the quality and efficiency of meteorological forecasts and reducing error rates.
He concluded the tour with a visit to the Center for Media Production and Digital Communication, briefing On the programs and initiatives launched by the Center to serve the public and government sectors, and their role in raising meteorological awareness.
At the conclusion of his visit, Al-Mushaiti stressed the need to enhance integration and coordination between the Center and the beneficiary entities, to ensure the rapid exchange of information and the accuracy of data, in a way that supports effective decision-making and raises the level of readiness to deal with various weather situations.
