"Help you, my homeland" 1,500 Ramadan packages are distributed to needy families

Al Ain, February 16, WAM / The “Awnak Ya Watan” volunteer team continues its humanitarian efforts for the ninth year in a row, by distributing 1,500 Ramadan packages to needy families, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed bin Muslim bin Ham Al Ameri, as part of the “Year of the Family” initiatives, in order to confirm the values ​​of social solidarity and enhance the spirit of giving that characterizes Emirati society.

Dr. Mohammed bin Muslim bin Ham Al Ameri stressed that supporting needy families during the holy month of Ramadan embodies the UAE’s approach to consolidating the values ​​of compassion and solidarity, noting that the “Year of the Family” represents an important station for enhancing family stability and consolidating the authentic societal principles on which the country was founded.

He said that continued humanitarian work reflects society’s awareness of its responsibility towards its members, and confirms that the family will remain the main pillar in building a cohesive and stable society, and that supporting it is a national duty that enhances the comprehensive development process.

He thanked and appreciated the supporting entities and partners who contributed to the success of the initiative, stressing that the solidarity of institutions and individuals embodies the spirit of social responsibility and reflects the civilized image of the UAE in the fields of humanitarian work.

For her part, Dr. Salam Al-Qassem, coordinator of the “Awnak Ya Watan” team, confirmed that the initiative comes as a continuation of the team’s mission to serve the community, noting that the distribution of parcels was carried out according to an organized and studied mechanism to ensure that they reach their beneficiaries with all efficiency and privacy, and in a way that preserves the dignity of the beneficiary families.

She added that the continuation of the initiative for the ninth year in a row reflects the community’s confidence and the support of partners and donors, which contributes to expanding the scope of the humanitarian impact of volunteer initiatives.
