The Ajman Government Media Office organizes the second field workshop within the Ajman Photography Award

Ajman, February 18 / WAM / The Ajman Government Media Office, in cooperation with the Ajman Youth Council, organized the second field workshop within the program accompanying the “Ajman Photography Award”, with the participation of 30 photographers from the award participants, as part of its keenness to enrich the applied experience of the participants and enhance their field presence in various locations within the emirate.

The workshop included a photography tour by bus that included a number of the most prominent landmarks of Ajman, including Al Zorah Reserve, Amna bint Ahmed Al Ghurair Mosque, Ajman Corniche, and Ajman Museum, where participants had the opportunity to move between multiple natural, urban and heritage environments, and stop at selected stations to capture scenes that express the diversity of the emirate’s visual identity.

This workshop comes as a continuation of the “Photographic Tour” workshop that was held recently, as part of the award’s direction to combine the competitive aspect with practical field experience, enabling photographers to build an integrated visual narrative that is consistent with the two axes of the award; The general theme and the storyboard theme, which require that the participating works be taken within the Emirate of Ajman.

Najla Abdullah Mohammed Lootah, Vice-Chairman of the Ajman Photography Award Organizing Committee, confirmed that organizing the second field workshop in cooperation with the Ajman Youth Council reflects the committee’s keenness to expand the scope of the participants’ visual experience and provide them with the opportunity to discover the emirate’s landmarks from multiple angles.

She said that the diversity of the tour stations between natural, cultural, religious and historical sites gives the photographer a wider space to test his technical and creative tools, and enhances his ability to read the place visually and build works that express the spirit of Ajman and its human details.

She added that the award is not limited to stimulating artistic competition, but rather seeks to provide a supportive environment for learning and development, through field initiatives that allow participants to interact directly with the emirate’s visual landscape and produce works that reflect its identity and development.

The Ajman Photography Award continues to receive entries until February 20 through its website, as part of the efforts of the Ajman Government Media Office to enhance the creative movement and establish the image as an effective tool in highlighting the cultural and tourism components of the emirate.
