The UAE air defenses handle 9 ballistic missiles and 109 drones
Abu Dhabi, March 6, 2026 – UAE air defenses detected 9 ballistic missiles today (March 6, 2026) and destroyed them. It also monitored 112 drones, of which 109 drones were intercepted, while 3 of them fell within the country’s territory.
Since the start of the blatant Iranian attack, 205 ballistic missiles have been detected, and 190 ballistic missiles were destroyed, while 13 of them fell into the sea, and two (2) missiles fell inside the country’s territory. Also, 1,184 Iranian drones were monitored and 1,110 of them were intercepted, while 74 drones fell inside the country’s territory. 8 mobile missiles were also detected and destroyed.
These attacks resulted in 3 deaths of Pakistani, Nepalese and Bangladeshi nationalities, and 112 minor injuries of Emirati, Egyptian, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comoros and Turkish nationalities.
The Ministry of Defense affirms that it is fully prepared and ready to deal with any threats, and to firmly confront everything that aims to destabilize the security of the state, in a way that ensures the preservation of its sovereignty, security, and stability and protects its national interests and capabilities.
