المملكة: More than 32 thousand families lived in their first homes during the first quarter of 2026
Announced Empowering Saudi families to own adequate housing, and providing various housing solutions to eligible families in various regions of the Kingdom.
The Ministry explained that the total number of families benefiting from housing support services during the same period amounted to 23,222 Saudi families, which reflects the continued pace of housing empowerment and the acceleration of ownership procedures, through an integrated system of programs and financing and housing solutions.
Subsidized contracts
It showed that the total contracts supported for beneficiaries since the launch of Residential Program In 2017 and until the end of the first quarter of 2026, there were 1,028,673 contracts for Saudi families in various regions of the Kingdom, an indicator that reflects the cumulative impact of the program in enhancing ownership opportunities and raising home ownership rates.
The Ministry indicated that the Riyadh region had the highest share of the total supported contracts with 273,856 contracts, followed by the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. With 213,069 contracts, then the Eastern Region with 163,455 contracts, which reflects the widening scope of benefit and growing residential demand in the main regions of the Kingdom.
Multiple options
She confirmed that the Sakani program continues to provide a diverse range of residential solutions, including ready-made units and units under construction within off-plan sale projects, in addition to the self-build product and residential lands, which provides multiple options that suit the needs of Saudi families. And its desires.
The Ministry added that the residential projects implemented in partnership with real estate developers, in addition to the financing solutions provided in integration with financing agencies and banks, contributed to enhancing the housing supply and expanding the ownership base, within an integrated system that supports the growth and sustainability of the residential sector.
Enhancing the Supply
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed its continued enhancement of the housing supply and the launch of more projects. And housing options in partnership with the private sector in various regions of the Kingdom, which contributes to meeting the needs of Saudi families and achieving balance in the real estate market.
The Ministry indicated that these efforts contributed to raising the percentage of Saudi families owning homes to 66.24% by the end of 2025, in continuous progress towards the goal of the housing program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs, which aims to reach the ownership rate to 70%.
