المملكة: The Kingdom strengthens its global media leadership by nominating the Artificial Intelligence Principles document for the WSIS Award 2026

The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 announced the nomination of a document "Principles of artificial intelligence in media"Launched by His Excellency the Minister of Information, Mr. Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, during the work of the Saudi Media Forum 2026, in partnership with "Sdaya"within the global awards of the summit, in a step that reflects Artificial intelligence in the media sector, in a way that enhances the reliability of content, and establishes the principles of professionalism and transparency.
The document presents an integrated national framework based on eight main principles that include: transparency and disclosure, credibility and integrity of information, protection of privacy, prevention of misleading content, human responsibility, justice and impartiality, technical safety, and protection of intellectual property rights.
The nomination of the document comes as an extension of national efforts aimed at consolidating the responsible use of advanced technologies, And confronting its challenges, including deep fakes, in a way that strengthens the Kingdom’s position as a regional and global center for developing innovative artificial intelligence solutions, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
