Dubai, April 28 / WAM / The activities of the Influencers Forum, organized by the Influencers Headquarters, the first headquarters for influencers in the Emirates and the Middle East, kicked off today at the Atlantis The Palm Hotel in Dubai, with the participation of more than 1,000 content creators, media professionals, and experts.
The forum’s agenda witnessed a rich and diverse series of extensive dialogues and specialized workshops under the supervision of a group of experts and influencers, with the aim of contributing to developing the skills of content makers, enhancing their tools, and improving the quality and impact of Arabic content on various digital platforms.
Khadija Hussein, Executive Director of the Government Communications Sector at the UAE Government Media Office, confirmed during the opening of the forum that the UAE Government Media Office is keen to continue supporting the content industry, as it is the most important element of the components and pillars of media work, after its importance has exceeded the boundaries of the comprehensive media sector, to become a vital and effective contributor to the creation of human awareness.
She said that the UAE government was a pioneer, from an early age, in focusing on content creation, which represented an anticipation and anticipation of the change that affected the media map, the tools for creating media awareness, as well as the generational method of dealing with the media, and it took the initiative to support the creation of valuable content capable of making a positive difference in societies, which was reflected in the slogan of the One Billion Followers Summit, “Purposeful Content,” which meets the need for influential and positive content.
She pointed out that the acceleration of development in this sector is unprecedented, especially with the reliance on artificial intelligence techniques, which contribute to doubling production and impact, whether negative or positive, as statistics indicate that while artificial intelligence has doubled the volume of content by approximately 77%, approximately 86% of creators and content makers are already using generative artificial intelligence tools, pointing out that acknowledging the fact that new media has become the most important tool for creating awareness does not mean underestimating the importance of traditional media, which we prefer to call media. Basic.
She noted that the “Influencers Forum”, which comes just one day after organizing the first session of the “Gulf Influencers” event, which hosted an elite group of government and media leaders and content makers in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to discuss creating a Gulf narrative that reaches the world, comes in the context of a long list of events and events that were supported and organized by the UAE government in the context of its support for new media, its makers and creators, including the Billion Followers Summit, which annually attracts thousands of attendees, including senior content makers and influencers. It annually hosts more than 300 events and workshops, and a fund to support content makers in the region worth 150 million dirhams, in addition to partnerships with major international platforms such as YouTube Academy, Snapchat School, Meta, and a training camp with Tech. Talk, ongoing courses throughout the year, and incubation programs to train professional content makers in different sectors.
