The referee of the match between Zamalek and Smouha was involved in an accident before the start of the confrontation

A sudden traffic accident almost disrupted the start of the match between Zamalek and Smouha, which was held this evening in the Egyptian League matches, after the video technology referee (VAR) was involved in an accident in his car while heading to the match stadium, a few hours before the starting whistle.

Despite the emergency situation, the refereeing crew succeeded in overcoming the crisis quickly, as the main referee and his assistants intervened and took the video referee with them to the stadium, so that the entire crew arrived on time without any delay, fully prepared to manage the match.

The Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association confirmed, through a statement published on the Egyptian Federation’s account on the “X” website, that the health condition of all crew members is stable, and that there are no injuries that hinder the management of the match, stressing that the match will be held on its normal time.

On the other hand, the committee headed by Oscar Ruiz moved quickly to check on the refereeing staff, through direct communications, to ensure their physical and psychological readiness, especially in light of the sensitivity of the current stage of the league and the raging struggle for the title.

This comes at a time when the importance of each match increases as the decision approaches, which imposes a great focus on all details, whether on or off the field.
