Made in UAE/ "Irina": The UAE consolidates its leadership in renewable energy

Abu Dhabi, 6 May / WAM / Gauri Singh, Deputy Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), praised the accelerating momentum in adopting renewable energy solutions in the UAE, which hosts the headquarters of the International Renewable Energy Agency in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.

She explained during a key dialogue session entitled “The New Industrial Solar Belt and Clean Industry as a Competitive Advantage” within the “Make in the UAE 2026” activities that the world needs to triple investments in renewable energy projects by 2030, in order to meet the growing demand for energy and ensure its sustainability.
