Fox is gearing up to give a soccer star his dream job after announcing the position of “Chief World Cup Viewer,” which comes with a salary of $50,000.

The Daily Mail reports that ahead of the 2026 World Cup this summer, Fox Sports and Fox One have teamed up with recruitment website Indeed to launch this amazing new role, with a nationwide search currently underway to find the perfect candidate.

She said: “The selected “employee” will receive $50,000 to simply relax and watch all 104 World Cup matches hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from inside a specially designed viewing booth in the heart of New York City’s Times Square.

One of the job requirements involves immersing yourself in every minute of every match throughout the 39-day tournament, from June 11 to July 19.

In addition to watching the matches among thousands of visitors and tourists in Times Square, the “Chief Viewer” must also create and share social content from inside the viewing booth throughout the tournament.

Fox will use Indeed’s platform technologies to find the best person for the role, and potential candidates are encouraged to update their profiles on the site and apply a little over a month before the tournament.

The tournament kicks off when Mexico (co-host) takes on South Africa in the opening group match on June 11.

Canada and the United States play their first group matches the next day against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Paraguay, respectively.

The grand final will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19.
