Haitian goalkeeper Joshua Duverger from the German fifth division to the World Cup

The Haitian Football Federation announced today, Saturday, the inclusion of goalkeeper Joshua Duverger, a player for the German team FC Cosmos Koblenz, in the Haiti squad for the World Cup.
Cosmos Koblenz, which is active in the fifth division, wrote on its website: “Duverger’s joining is a great honor for our club and a proud moment for the entire community.”
The club added: “For us, he is not just a goalkeeper, but a role model in behaviour, morals and humility. Someone who shows what can be achieved when one believes in oneself. We are very proud of his story and what awaits him now.”
Haiti, which is participating for the second time in the Men’s World Cup, will play matches against Brazil, which holds the record for the number of times it has won the title, Morocco (which reached the 2022 semi-finals), and Scotland in North America next month.
