The UAE delegation raises its tally to 33 medals in the “Doha Gulf”

The UAE delegation continued its brilliance in the competitions of the Fourth Gulf Games – Doha 2026, which was held from 11 to 22 of this month, after raising its tally to 33 various medals, including six gold, six silver, and 18 bronze medals, in a harvest that reflects the strength of the Emirati presence and the diversity of achievements in various sports.

The day before yesterday’s competitions witnessed remarkable brilliance by UAE athletes, as the national billiards team player, Mahmoud Sharif, won the gold medal in the individual 9-ball competition, adding a new achievement for Emirati billiards in the Gulf tournament.

The athletics team also won six new medals, after the men’s 4×100-meter relay team won the silver medal with a time of 47.38 seconds, while the women’s team won the bronze relay with a time of 54.39 seconds.

In the pole vault competitions, young player Shahad Rashid Mubarak won the silver medal after setting a new national record of 3.25 metres, while Al-Yazia Tariq won the bronze medal with a distance of 2.80 metres.

Nasser Al Kathiri added a bronze medal in the javelin throw, while Obaid Al Nuaimi won a bronze medal in the 10 km race, so that the athletics team continued its strong presence on the Gulf podiums. In equestrianism, the rider, Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi, presented the UAE with the individual gold medal in show jumping after his distinguished performance in the competitions.

As for fencing, it concluded its participation with three team medals in the gold for the girls’ fencing teams, and two silvers for the girls’ and men’s epee teams, confirming the remarkable development of Emirati fencing in the tournament.

In shooting, Fatima Al Suwaidi won silver in the women’s rifle shooting, before the duo Salem Al Yamahi and Fatima Al Suwaidi added the bronze medal in the mixed 10-meter rifle competition.
