"Fujairah Martial Arts" Retains the overall superiority shield for judo
Abu Dhabi, May 18 / WAM / The Fujairah Martial Arts Club retained the General Excellence Shield for Judo for the fourth time in a row, at the male and female levels, at the conclusion of the season last evening, with the Junior and Female Championships under 18 years of age, which was preceded by the Juniors’ Championship under 15 years of age.
The closing events were organized at the Judo Federation Hall in the Baniyas East area under the slogan “Your Fortress, O Homeland”, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and the participation of 310 male and female players from 12 clubs.
The Sharjah Sports Club topped the male competition with 10 medals, including 5 gold, a silver and 4 bronze. Fujairah Martial Arts Club came second with 9 medals, 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze, and Khor Fakkan Club came third with 7 medals, including a gold, a silver and 5 bronze.
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club dominated the female competition, winning 11 medals, 4 golds, 2 silvers, and 5 bronzes. Kalba Women’s Sports Club came in second place with 6 medals, 4 golds and 2 silvers, and Sharjah Women’s Sports Club came third with 2 silvers.
The winners were crowned by Dr. Nasser Al Tamimi, member of the National Olympic Committee, Vice President of the Federation, in the presence of Rashid Al Muhairi, Head of the Support Department at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Director of the Support Department at the Council, Mohammed Jassim, Secretary General of the Federation, Sultan Al Ketbi, Member of the Board of Directors, and Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club.
