The General Roads Authority has completed the implementation of the Roof cooling and asphalt around Holy Feelings in The hair of Mina, in order to prepare the paths and waiting areas and make them more comfortable and cooler for the guests of God during the Hajj season 1447 AH.

The project comes within the framework of the Authority’s endeavor to harness innovative solutions based on modern cooling technologies to serve the pilgrims of the Holy House of God.

The General Authority for Roads explained that the total area of the project amounted to 14 thousand square meters, which was distributed among 3 new and targeted sites in the hair of Mina, It included creating dedicated paths to facilitate the movement of elderly pilgrims and people with disabilities to facilitate their movement between stations and camps.

The Authority stated that the material used to cool the roads consists of completely homemade white paint, which is characterized by its high ability to reflect sunlight and reduce the asphalt’s absorption of heat during daylight hours, which directly contributes to reducing the temperature of road surfaces by a rate of up to 15 degrees Celsius, in addition to its effective role in softening the atmosphere surrounding waiting areas and human flows. High levels, in order to achieve the strategic quality and safety targets for the road sector in the Holy Sites.
