المملكة: Translating the Arafa sermon into 50 languages ​​covering various continents of the world


The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque clarified that the translation of This year’s Arafa sermon will be broadcast with 50 international languages covering various continents of the world, including 25 languages of Asia, 12 languages of Europe, and 13 languages of Africa, ensuring that the lofty contents of the sermon reach various peoples and races in their mother tongues, and contributes to enriching the religious experience of those who go and visit them.
The Commission completed the readiness of the operational and technical arrangements for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ project for the simultaneous translation of the Arafat Day sermon and the sermons of the Two Holy Mosques, with the aim of Delivering the tolerant message of Islam to various peoples of the world, and enhancing cultural communication in a way that reflects the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in serving Guests of God.
On the engineering and technical side, the preparations included verifying broadcast systems and updated programs, in addition to preparing isolation room cabins for translators and simultaneous translation offices, to ensure the provision of high-quality broadcast according to the highest technical and operational standards.
The authority also strengthened the system of access to translation services by expanding the use of quick response (QR) codes, to facilitate access to text and voice translation, as they were distributed in the field through facility screens and buses. Transportation, and hotels for pilgrims.
In addition to broadcasting it through government digital platforms, and targeting international media in coordination with the Ministry of Information.
