Gustav Lagerbelke.. From the nobility to the World Cup stadiums

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the elite soccer stars participating in the World Cup held in North America.
If you are looking for members of the true nobility, you should turn to the Swedish national team.
Gustav Lagerbilke (26 years old), who played the entire match in which the Swedish team defeated Tunisia 5-1 on Sunday, holds the title of “Baron” and belongs to a noble family in Sweden, while his father and grandfather hold the title of “Count.”
Football players usually come from humble backgrounds, like Messi and Ronaldo for example.
But La Gharbielke is not like that. “I mean, it’s really rare,” he said in an interview before the start of the World Cup.
Lagerbilke grew up in Djursholm, an affluent suburb of the Swedish capital, Stockholm. He says that he used to put his noble family crest on his shin guards when he played football as a child.
“When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a professional football player,” he said after Sunday’s match in Monterrey. My family taught me the importance of setting goals and striving to achieve them. They are very happy with me and proud of what I have achieved.”
Lagerbilke’s family legacy became a recurring theme during his football career, during which he moved between clubs in Sweden (AIK, Sollentuna, Vasteras, Elfsborg and Degerfors), then to Scotland with Celtic, and currently in Portugal.
Reports in some British media indicated that he is ranked 254th in the order of succession to the Swedish throne, but Lagerbjelke said: “I do not know if that is true.”
He added jokingly, “But for that to happen, a large number of people would have to be absent before me, and I don’t want that to happen.”
For now, Lagerbjelke is solely focused on helping Sweden become the “King of Football” at the World Cup.
He said: “To achieve one of the biggest victories in Sweden’s history at the World Cup is amazing.”
