The tragedy of Dutch star Jacobo did not prevent him from leaving the World Cup

Dutch football star Cody Jacobo will remain with his country’s national team despite the loss of his child, who was still a fetus.

Jacobo and his partner, Noah van der Bij, announced the news yesterday, Saturday, as the duo was awaiting the birth of their second child, and the birth was scheduled to take place next October.

Van der Bij said on Instagram: “With hearts filled with pain, we share with you the heartbreaking news that our male child died during pregnancy.”

In his own post, Jackpo said: “This is an extremely difficult time for our family. We ask everyone to respect our privacy and give us the space we need. Thank you for your understanding.”

The Dutch Football Association stated that, after speaking with his partner, Jacobo decided to remain with the national team, as the Dutch national team is still participating in the World Cup competitions.
