The Ministry was represented by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abu Thanin, while the Kenyan Ministry was represented by His Excellency the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Dr. Alfred Nganga Mutua.
Employment of Domestic Workers
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh hosted the signing ceremony, in the presence of His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Dr. Musalia. Mudavadi, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kenya, on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Saudi-Kenyan Political Consultations Committee.
This agreement aims to implement all necessary measures to ensure the effective recruitment of domestic workers from the Republic of Kenya to work in a regular manner in the Kingdom, protect the rights of both employers and workers and regulate the contractual relationship between them.
The agreement also aims to modernize the framework of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Kenya in the field of hiring domestic workers.
