Crowning the winners at the Yas Racing Festival and Al Wathba Farm in France

Paris, July 11, 2017 (WAM) – Five races for different categories were concluded today at the French track La Teste Bassin Arcachon, during which 37 purebred Arabian horses competed, sponsored by Yas Racing and Al Wathba Farm, with prizes of 150,000 euros.

The filly “Fakhira” by Khalifa bin Shuail Al Kuwari, led by knight Christophe Sommeau, and supervised by Thomas Forsey, topped the main category one race, “Criterium Dupolisses”, in the first half, for purebred Arabian horses aged 4 years and above, for a distance of 1,900 metres, and its prizes are 50 thousand euros.

After the end of the race, His Excellency Muslim Al Ameri, Director General of the Emirates International Endurance Village, crowned the winning champions, in the presence of a number of officials.

The filly “Guida Al-Sham” by Pearl Racing, under the supervision of Thomas Dumelo and driven by Julium Good Guy, won the title of the “Prix Mahab” race, for the third category, which is reserved for three-year-old fillies, over a distance of 1,900 metres, and its prizes are 25 thousand euros.

The colt “Al-Karrar” by Al-Wasmiya Racing, under the supervision of François Rohat and led by Christophe Sommeau, won the title of the Prix Monges race, third category, for a distance of 1,900 metres, which is intended for three-year-old horses, and its prizes are 25 thousand euros.

The horse “Mounir” from Lothnan Racing, under the supervision of Damon Vatrigant and led by Christophe Sommeau, won the title of the “Prix Drian” race for purebred Arabian horses in the second category, for a distance of 1,900 metres, with prizes of 30,000 euros.

The filly, “Nyla Al-Mouri,” by René Lore Koch, concluded the competitions by winning the “Pre-Areem” title, for a distance of 1,900 metres, which is reserved for fillies and colts aged three years, and its prizes are 20,000 euros.
