Celebrating activities for workers in 18 locations on the occasion of New Year’s Day

DUBAI, 1st JANUARY / WAM / Yesterday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation organized celebratory activities targeting the workforce in all the emirates of the country on the occasion of New Year’s Day, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, and the general commands of the Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah Police. And municipalities at the state level, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, and the General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai, The Permanent Committee for Labor Affairs in Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, the Labor Standards Development Authority in Sharjah, the National Ambulance, the Dubai Ambulance Corporation, and the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority (RAKZ).
The celebrations, which were organized in 18 locations across the country under the slogan “Making our workers happy enhances our business,” witnessed sports and entertainment events, competitions, and valuable prizes for participants, including a car raffle, in parallel with various activities organized by the Collective Housing City, Laptuel Labor City, and Emirates Global Aluminium. Fujairah National Contracting Company, Tasmeem Labor City, Al Salam Labor Village, Buhairan Hamim City, Khansaheb Contracting, Dulsco City, Al Jimi labor village, and Sawaed residential city.
His Excellency Mohsen Al-Nasi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for Inspection and Compliance, confirmed that the celebratory activities organized by the Ministry on national occasions and official holidays come within the framework of the Ministry’s vision, through which it seeks to enhance the quality of life and the level of well-being and happiness of the workforce in the country and celebrate the workers and their achievements, as major partners. In the process of sustainable development and leadership.
He praised the cooperation between the Ministry and its partners in the government and private sectors in organizing such events that emphasize the level of social responsibility, especially among the companies sponsoring these celebrations.
His Excellency Dalal Al Shehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation for the Labor Protection Sector, said that periodic meetings with workers and social and entertainment initiatives on occasions have become a permanent program of the Ministry and a source of happiness for workers through the interaction, entertainment and benefit they achieve.
She added that the festive events are a celebration of workers and appreciation for their efforts, and represent an ongoing methodology that reflects the humanitarian trends of the UAE and the directives of the wise leadership in paying attention and providing various means of support to improve the lives of workers and achieve their happiness, and at the same time are consistent with the partnership strategy adopted by the Ministry with all components of the market. Work, which gives them a permanent incentive to continue giving and innovation, and which reflects positively on the labor market.
The New Year’s celebration activities were organized under the auspices of the Insurance Complex “Diamond Care” and the Aldar Real Estate Group “Platinum Care”, in addition to the Ministry’s strategic partners, which are the Emirates Food Bank, the Al Ihsan Charitable Society, and the Dubai Charity Society.
