The English Premier League opens the transfer period early due to the World Cup club

The Premier League Football League said Thursday that the league clubs agreed to start the transfer period early for ten days in June, before the start of the Club World Cup and before reopening it on the 16th of the same month.

This decision comes after the FIFA decided to grant local federations to the clubs participating in the tournament the option of opening a “exceptional transfer and registration period” in June before the championship started to sign the players.

“The transfer period will be opened early between the first Sunday of June to Tuesday, June 10 due to an exceptional registration period related to the Club World Cup that will be reopened on Monday, June 16th and closed on the first of September,” the association said in a statement.

The Club World Cup, which includes 32 teams and hosted by the United States, will take place from June 14 to July 13, in which Chelsea and Manchester City from the Premier League will participate this year.
