المملكة: 40 voluntary hours a condition for graduation from high school .. The national platform is an alternative to “Nour”

The Ministry of Education has identified 40 voluntary hours as a mandatory condition for the graduation of secondary school students, as part of the paths system that links the academic side to the real societal experience.
This approach comes with the approaching end of the third semester, to reaffirm the importance of volunteering as an integral part of the student’s educational career.
Within the framework of organizing and documenting these hours, the Ministry stopped the volunteer registration service through the “Noor” system, and the national platform approved the volunteer work as a unified interface to document the volunteer students ‘participation, in a manner that guarantees transparency and credibility, and enhances the opportunities to benefit from these posts in developing students’ practical and social skills.
The ministry confirmed that all the hours previously registered in the “Noor” system will be transferred automatically to the national platform, without the need for any additional procedure from the student, which ensures the continuity of documentation and the failure to lose the acquired hours.
The national platform provides a voluntary and varied voluntary opportunities in various fields, supervised by reliable parties, and suitable for students’ interests and specialties. The platform also requires registration through the national access portal using “Absher”, to ensure safety and documentation.
Schools, for their part, will coordinate with the volunteer authorities and include the opportunities available through the platform, so that the link between the student and the field, and enhances the quality of the volunteer experience, so that it is not just fulfilling a requirement, but rather a station for building personality and developing a spirit of responsibility.
In a related context, the Ministry of Education has set a number of motivational advantages for outstanding high school graduates, the most prominent of which is to grant honor ranks according to the cumulative rate and adhere to behavioral and educational controls; Where the student gets the first honors if his rate is 97% or more, and the second honors rank for those whose rates ranged between 95% and less than 97%. It is required for that that the student had not failed in any subject during the secondary stage, and that he had completed the study within a period not exceeding three years, in addition to achieving an organized percentage of no less than 98%, and perfect behavior by 100%, and that the student be regular in the study.
With this trend, the Ministry of Education continues to link the school to society, and establish a culture of giving and distinction as two associates in the march of the student, in a letter confirming that graduation is not only granted to those who finish courses, but for those who excel in a study, community and his discipline proves behavior and perseverance.
