Dubai, April 30 / WAM / The Ministry of Finance has signed a strategic agreement with the “Lulu Hypermarket” company to provide federal catalog products with the best offers and prices through the digital purchasing platform.
The agreement was signed today in Dubai, in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed bin Hadi Al -Husseini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Youssef Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of the Lulu International Group.
The agreement aims to provide a wide range of high -quality products that meet the needs of the federal authorities, and the federal authorities applied to the digital purchasing platform will be able to benefit from exclusive discounts, which contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of public spending and achieving the best value for money.
This bilateral cooperation between the two sides reflects a joint commitment to achieving the highest levels of efficiency in government resources management through the facilitation of purchases and enabling federal authorities to digital movement to the supplier page through the platform, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Finance to expand the network of suppliers accredited within the digital purchasing system, in a way that contributes to facilitating access to various options of goods at competitive prices and conditions of flexible supply.

Lulu Hypermarket is one of the first suppliers to be activated by the “Punch Out” feature, which reflects the continuous expansion of the digital platform in linking government agencies to the best local suppliers.
The federal catalog in the digital purchasing platform is one of the leading initiatives in the digital transformation of purchases in the federal government, as it aims to accelerate and simplify purchases for the federal authorities from 60 days to 6 minutes, and the catalog contains a wide range of products and services where users in the federal authorities can search for the required products and services and add them to the shopping basket without the need to launch tenders The catalog includes 35 category and more than 120,000 products and a service provided by more than 400 suppliers.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Finance has completed the requirements of the purchasing law in the federal government in a way that enhances government spending efficiency and supports innovation and sustainability, as last February launched a guide for purchasing procedures in the federal government, which aims to regulate and simplify procedures and facilitate the application of the law to all government agencies. It also announced the launch of the powers delegation matrix, which aims to determine the responsibilities clearly, which enhances the effectiveness of procedures and ensures adherence to the approved standards.
