Dubai Police is investigating the events of Al -Wasl and Al -Ahly youth match

Dubai Police began an investigation into the riots that occurred, the evening of yesterday, after the Al -Wasl and Al -Ahly youth match at Zabeel Stadium in the 23rd round of the ADNOC Professional League.
A security source told “UAE Today”: “The Dubai Police’s competent administration has started its investigations in the incident as soon as the match ends, and the surveillance cameras are being emptied, to determine the identities of those involved in any riots or abuses, and then take the necessary measures against them.”
Social media users circulated videos showing a tear between a number of fans of the two teams after the end of the match, amid an attempt by the security men to control the situation, and some of the actions rejected by fans who were sitting in the stands appeared in the stands about one of the players and organizers.
The source affirmed that “Dubai Police has a complete readiness to secure all sporting events, which include the football match, and pays great attention to mass occasions, such as the match the day before yesterday,” noting that “some of the abuses occur by a few fans, and legal measures will be taken against them, in light of the concern to deal firmly with any breach of the security of the stadiums.”
The match witnessed, the day before yesterday, the first loss for Al-Ahly youth during this season, as Al-Wasl managed to win (2-1), amid a state of excitement in the stands, which escalated after the end of the match, and witnessed some abuses by a few fans.
It is noteworthy that the Dubai Police recently confronted a riot made by two fans, using “red distress” signals, while they were in a football match, which posed a great danger, and a threat to those in the vicinity of the sports facility.
The Dubai Police General Command stressed the masses to adhere to the Federal Law No. (8) of 2014, regarding the security of sports facilities and events, warning against using any dangerous materials, fireworks or materials with ignition in the stadiums, because of the danger that it poses to the lives of the fans, players and administrators and who are in the vicinity of sports facilities, and confirmed that it will deter all those who go out of the law, in order to ensure safety And the security of the stadiums, pointing out that the work teams are doing their best, to secure the stadiums and the public from home and abroad, in addition to securing vehicles, and providing all the required services before and during the course of the matches and after their completion.
She called on the encouraging to show sportsmanship and adhere to the law during the encouragement, reflecting the bright image of the UAE and the high level that it reached in organizing sporting events.
On the other hand, “Emirates Today” learned that the events of the Al -Wasl match and Al -Ahly youth will be at the table of the Discipline Committee during its upcoming meeting, to decide on it, whether what happened between some of the fans of the two teams, as well as from some players.
It is expected that the observer of the match – which is considered these matters to be his competence – has written all his notes on the events that occurred, and raised them to the jurisdiction in the Football Association for consideration. Al -Ahly youth fans were preparing to celebrate the league title outside its home at the Zabeel Stadium if her team was the winner of the match, as Al -Ahly youth needed a draw, but he lost the confrontation.
