Abdul Latif: We seek the sons of bridges with the Arab countries in the field of education

Mohamed Abdel -Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, received today, Dr. Mohamed bin Saud Al Muqbel, Director General of the Arab Education Office for the Gulf States, in the context of enhancing educational cooperation, and exchanging experiences between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the office in educational projects of common concern. Pointing out that the Ministry of Education and Technical Education seeks to enhance the exchange of experiences that supports the state’s direction towards a comprehensive and integrated development of the educational system within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, and building a strong partnership bridge with Arab educational institutions, led by the Arab Education Office for the Gulf states, because of its pivotal role in supporting educational integration between Arab countries and enhancing the leading educational practices.

Expanding the circle of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in Egypt, and looking to benefit from the rich Egyptian experiences in the fields of preparing educational research related to the context of Arab education, and the office seeks to unify Arab educational visions, and achieve cognitive integration. Education and achieving integration between its systems in the countries of the region, and the support of member states in theoretical and applied educational research and educational studies that deal with contemporary education issues, as the office launches cooperative educational initiatives and joint educational projects between member states that contribute to enhancing cooperation and integration, in addition to cooperation with international organizations to develop educational programs and promote the quality of education, as well as providing reports on the state of education in member states.

The meeting has dealt with ways to enhance cooperation And exchange experiences in the fields of examination and evaluation systems, and the development of educational research and development, as well as exploring partnership opportunities in educational programs and projects with a common Arab dimension, including preparing a study to improve the level of reading and reading understanding for students through programs that emphasize national values, identity and Arab culture.

The meeting also discussed ways to benefit from Egyptian expertise represented in the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in PIRLS and PISA tests, as well as preparing studies to assess the status of Arabic language teaching, the efficiency of its teachers, the level of student achievement, monitoring all experiments, in addition to studying how to set standards and measurement, and building curricula; To provide these studies to the Arab countries and benefit from them in a way that contributes to achieving a qualitative shift in the quality of Arab education.
