Saif Karam won this prestigious award presented by the American Chemical Society (ACS), one of the largest scientific societies that support scientific research in the field of chemistry globally, for his project that is added to the Emirati innovation record, whose idea highlights the ingenuity of the student Saif in creating a classification of new materials used to convert carbon dioxide into multi -carbon compounds with value that opens wide horizons for application and use in The fields of industry and sustainable energy.

Khalifa University played a pivotal role that contributed to empowering Saif Karam to complete his project and experiences, where he worked under the direct supervision of Dr. Sharmaki Mohamed, associate professor of chemistry and head of the Chemical Bloriat Laboratory (CCL) at Khalifa University, along with his team in the university’s chemistry department, who presented comprehensive academic supervision during the period of preparing the scientific paper. This included the implementation of computer and experimental research aspects that were completed in university laboratories, including conducting theoretical accounts using the DFT theory of HPC.
