المملكة: president "Food and medicine": The Kingdom has made human health the focus of its ambitious vision
CEO For the Food and Drug General Authority Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadha’i said that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 has drawn the features of an ambitious future based on three basic foundations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which are: a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, and an ambitious nation.
He pointed out that the Kingdom has launched a number of national programs to contribute to achieving those goals, including a transformation program Health sector, which aims to strengthen Human health, and facilitating access to health services and the transition from curative to preventive care.
This came during his participation in the meeting of the Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean at its 72nd session (RC72) of the World Health Organization, which is being held in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the period from 15 to 17 October of this year.
Initiatives to enhance community health
Al-Jadha’i indicated in his speech that the Kingdom, represented The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has implemented many specific initiatives to enhance community health, including reducing the sugar and salt content in foods to increase their nutritional value and preventing the use of hydrogenated fats, in addition to supporting the provision of specific medicines to treat incurable diseases.
He expressed his pride and pride in the close partnership with the World Health Organization, which culminated in the Authority accrediting a cooperative center in multiple fields, including Medical devices and supplies and nutrition, pointing at the same time to joint efforts in training and building legislative and oversight capabilities, which reflects what is included in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its mission to make humans the center of development and health is the basis of the prosperity and stability of societies.
