Baniyas wasted victory over Dibba in a crazy match full of missed opportunities

The Baniyas team wasted a victory over its guest Dibba and came out tied 2-2, in an exciting match within the seventh round of the ADNOC Professional Football League, witnessed by nearly 1,000 spectators in the stands, most of whom were astonished by the easy opportunities that “Al Samawi” had and were unable to seize them in order to obtain the first victory in the tournament.
Al-Samawi entered the match under great pressure, being the only team that did not taste victory and did not score any goal during the past six rounds despite having 39 offensive attempts, including eight shots between the three boards, before finding the solution through long serves and crosses.
Bakr Suhail Al Noubi opened the scoring for Baniyas in the 12th minute, after a perfect long pass from Uzbek Otabek Shukurov, ending the team’s goal drought amid great joy for its fans. But Dibba succeeded in returning to the match through Khaled Abdullah’s goal in the 72nd minute, taking advantage of “Al-Samawi’s” poor defensive positioning.
Baniyas regained its lead in the 85th minute via a cross sent by Khamis Al Hammadi, which Youssoufou Nketiah headed into the net. However, the visitors refused to surrender, as Iraqi Muhannad Ali “Mimi” managed to snatch the equalizer in the 89th minute with a powerful shot inside the penalty area, depriving the home team of their first victory of the season.
With this result, Baniyas placed its score with the first point in its score, but it is still in last place, while Dibba raised its score to two points and advanced to the penultimate place.
