The Deputy Minister of Health inspects Matrouh facilities in preparation for the second phase of comprehensive health insurance

Today, Wednesday, Dr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, conducted a field visit to Matrouh General Hospital, the Matrouh Heart Center, and the Kilo 7 Family Medicine Unit in Matrouh Governorate, as part of the Ministry’s efforts to raise the efficiency of medical services, in preparation for the governorate to join the second phase of the comprehensive health insurance system.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry’s official spokesman, explained that the Deputy Minister began his tour by inspecting Matrouh Hospital. General, where he visited the reception and emergency departments, to ensure the readiness of the medical teams, the availability of supplies and emergency medicines, and the speed of dealing with critical cases.
Abdul Ghaffar indicated that the Deputy Minister stopped by Al-Aqr Clinic to follow up on the availability of serums, and the blood bank to confirm the balances of blood groups and their derivatives, and to review the withdrawal and transport mechanisms in accordance with safety standards. He also visited the radiology, laboratory, and dialysis departments, directing the facilitation of dispensing medications to dialysis patients who benefit from health insurance directly from The hospital, to reduce the burden on them.
The Deputy Minister inspected the building for physical therapy and the elderly, and reviewed the warehouse management system, directing that there are keys to the stores inside the building in order to preserve professional safety. He also visited the pharmacy and drug stores to ensure the regular supply of needs, and visited the outpatient clinics, directing the organization of the movement of patients to facilitate service, while following up on the fire-fighting system and evacuation plans.
He also inspected the burns building, and monitored the readiness of critical care rooms, directing to strengthen pain control services, and provide Supplies for burn cases, with an emphasis on infection control measures.
The Deputy Minister continued his tour of the Matrouh Heart Center affiliated with the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, where he reviewed cardiac catheterization services, ensured the availability of supplies and medications, and inspected cardiac care, the pharmacy, and stores, listening to patients’ praise of the quality of service and speed of response.
The tour included the Kilo 7 Family Medicine Unit, where he inspected the various clinics, directing urgent maintenance of the dental unit, and commitment to maintenance. The patrol, while following up on daily patient frequencies and the Presidential Initiatives Rooms, and ensuring the availability of supplies and the continuation of services efficiently.
