Governmental institutions stress the importance of defending children’s rights

Sharjah, November 20 / WAM / Her Excellency Alia Al Musaibi, Director of the Big Heart Foundation, confirmed that World Children’s Day is a clear call to build integrated protection systems that guarantee these children access to health care, educational opportunities, and psychological and social support that helps them regain their natural ability to grow and develop.
She added: “In the Foundation, we start from the belief that every child affected by displacement, war, natural disasters, or poverty carries within him the potential for life if he finds a nurturing environment and appropriate support. Our role is not limited to meeting urgent needs, but extends to include defending the child’s right to be treated as a complete human being, not as an emergency or a relief file. Rebuilding a more just world begins with protecting children, because saving one child from conditions of distress and harsh circumstances is preserving human values and our common ability to Turning pain into steps towards a better life.
Amna Al-Mazmi, Director of the Kalimat Foundation, said, “International Children’s Day represents an occasion to affirm the right of every child to access knowledge, a right that the Kalimat Foundation works to guarantee for disadvantaged and visually impaired children through sustainable initiatives, solutions and partnerships that provide them with a fair opportunity to read and learn. For her part, Hanadi Al-Yafei, Director General of the Child Safety Foundation and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the “Kanf” Center, called on all segments of society, from families and caregivers to educational and media institutions and legal authorities, to work together side by side with parents to promote a safer and more balanced environment for children that is based on dialogue and inclusion and gives the guardian the knowledge and confidence that enables him to have an effective presence in the child’s digital world, a world that has become an essential part of his daily life. She also called for enabling children and adolescents to acquire progressive knowledge to protect themselves and understand the world. Those around them with awareness and insight realize that prevention is no longer the solution and that the alternative is awareness, legalization of use and empowerment, which forms the basis of any successful protection system, and the safety and protection of children is a shared responsibility that requires integration of roles and concerted efforts.
