Tehran demands compensation from the United States for its participation in attacks on Iranian territory

Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Irvani, confirmed that Tehran reserves the right to use all legal means to hold the United States accountable and demand full compensation for its involvement in the June attacks on Iran.
This came in a letter sent by Irvani, today, Thursday, to the UN Security Council about the pivotal role of the United States in Israel’s attack on Iran.
Irvani said, In his letter, “Regarding the public statement issued by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in which he acknowledged the leadership role of Washington in the aggression launched by Israel against Iran, I would like to draw your attention to another official recognition by the United States, reaffirming its direct participation with Israel in the unlawful aggression against Iran in June 2025.”
The Iranian envoy added that “in a press statement issued on November 25 Currently, the US Air Force publicly acknowledged – for the first time – its direct participation in the strikes that targeted the peaceful Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Iran.
Irvani stressed that the Israeli attack, in coordination with the United States, is a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter, and ignores the basic principles of international law and international humanitarian law.
The Iranian envoy indicated that the United States is obligated to fully compensate for the damages resulting from these violations against Iran and its citizens, including any material or moral damage, This includes the obligation to restore rights and compensate for the damages resulting therefrom, under established international law. This recognition also entails the individual criminal liability of any American official or individual involved in serious violations of international humanitarian law, according to Irvani’s letter.
